Rohit Sharma Is Freyr Energy Brand Ambassador For Rooftop Solar Advt

CW Bureau ·

Freyr Energy, a residential rooftop solar company, has appointed former India cricket captain Rohit Sharma as its first-ever brand ambassador as it seeks to expand awareness and adoption of rooftop solar solutions.

The association launches with the nationwide campaign ‘Solar Ho, Toh Freyr Ho!’, which highlights the importance of choosing a reliable company for a rooftop solar system designed to operate for decades.

Campaign highlights long-term reliability

The campaign features an advertising film, ‘Rishta Pakka’, starring Rohit Sharma. The film uses humour to explain rooftop solar, government subsidies and its benefits for households.

The campaign is built around the idea that rooftop solar is a 30-year investment. It emphasises the importance of selecting a company that can provide consistent service and support long after installation.

Company cites 24,000 solar installations

Freyr Energy has been operating in India’s rooftop solar market for more than a decade. It has designed, financed, installed and serviced more than 24,000 solar systems across over 40 cities.

“Our aim has always been to raise the bar for what Indian homeowners can expect from rooftop solar, not just on installation day but across the 30-year life of their system,” Freyr Energy, Co-founder and Managing Director, Saurabh Marda, said.

Focus on customer trust

“When a family puts solar on its roof, they are trusting a company for the next 30 years. That company has to show up every time and stand behind the family’s decision long after the system is switched on,” Freyr Energy, Co-founder and Director, Radhika Choudary, said.

“‘Solar Ho, Toh Freyr Ho!’ says that in five words, and no one says it better than Rohit,” she said.

Rohit Sharma backs rooftop solar

“Protecting the environment has been close to my heart for years. Rooftop solar gives families a chance to do their bit for the planet, and it’s important to have a partner you can trust for the journey. That’s what drew me to Freyr Energy,” Rohit Sharma, exclusively managed by RISE Worldwide, said.

The partnership brings together Sharma’s international cricket career and Freyr Energy’s experience in residential solar. The company aims to encourage more households to consider rooftop solar and prioritise long-term reliability when choosing an installation partner.
