Britannia Hires Tata Sons’ Siddharth Parakh To Sharpen Growth Strategy

Britannia Industries Ltd has appointed Siddharth Parakh as Head, Strategy & Business Development, effective August 3, 2026, strengthening its leadership team as the FMCG major sharpens its focus on long-term growth, capital allocation and strategic expansion.

Parakh joins Britannia with more than 13 years of experience spanning corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), investments and capital allocation across leading Indian companies and financial advisory firms.

Former Tata Sons executive
Before joining Britannia, he was part of the Group CFO & Group Strategy Office at Tata Sons, where he spent the last four-and-a-half years driving strategic initiatives, investments and M&A across the Tata Group.

Prior to Tata Sons, Parakh served as an Assistant Vice President in the investment banking team at Edelweiss (now Nuvama), advising Indian and global clients on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and fund-raising across sectors including consumer, new-age businesses, information technology and healthcare.

He has also held roles at MAPE Advisory Group, Grant Thornton and PwC, where he advised clients on corporate finance and several marquee transactions.

Strong strategic and financial background
Britannia’s latest appointment brings on board a seasoned strategy professional with expertise in evaluating investments, executing acquisitions and driving corporate growth initiatives.

Parakh has been recognised with the Economic Times Young Leader Award, which honours emerging business leaders in India.

Academically, he is a Chartered Accountant and Company Secretary, and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) from S. P. Jain Institute of Management & Research, Mumbai. He has also completed the Advanced International Finance Program at Cornell University, New York.

The appointment comes at a time when Britannia continues to strengthen its strategic capabilities amid evolving consumer preferences and increasing competition in India’s fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector.
