Adani Airports Launches 80-Room Swirl Transit Hotel At Navi Mumbai

CW Bureau ·

Adani Airport Holdings Ltd (AAHL) has launched Swirl Transit Hotel, an 80-room transit hotel at Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA), offering passengers short-stay accommodation within the airport.

Located on the Arrivals Level of Terminal 1, the two-floor hotel is designed for passengers with long layovers, early departures, late arrivals and other short-stay requirements. Guests can choose four-hour or overnight stays, with access to shower facilities, dining and other hotel services.

Hotel offers six room categories

The hotel has 80 rooms across six categories, ranging from 130 sq. ft. to 410 sq. ft. The categories include Superior Single, Superior Double, Superior Twin, Superior Accessible, Junior Suite and Executive Suite.

“Navi Mumbai International Airport is being developed as a large-scale aviation and passenger services hub, and offerings such as Swirl add to the convenience of travelling through the airport. We see an opportunity to take this proposition to other airports across our network and build a wider transit hospitality offering,” AAHL, CEO, Non-Aero Business, Suchit Bansal, said.

Transit hospitality expands to Guwahati

The Swirl Transit Hotel concept will next be introduced at Lokpriya Gopinath Bardoloi International Airport (LGBIA) in Guwahati. A 21-room property is planned on Level 3 of the Arrivals area within the airport-secured zone of Terminal 2.

The Guwahati hotel will offer hourly and overnight stays, dining and hospitality services. It will cater to transit passengers, arriving and departing travellers with extended waiting periods and business travellers.

Focus on airport services

The Guwahati property will also feature dedicated workstations and meeting-friendly spaces, enabling business travellers to work between flights.

NMIA is one of India’s greenfield international airports serving the growing aviation requirements of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. The launch of Swirl adds to the airport’s passenger and non-aeronautical services.

AAHL expands non-aero offerings

The launch forms part of AAHL’s broader focus on expanding non-aeronautical services across its airport network. The company aims to provide passengers with additional services and greater convenience within the airport environment.

The expansion of the Swirl concept to Guwahati also provides a platform for AAHL to develop a wider transit hospitality offering across its airport portfolio.
