Parag Milk Foods Ltd is expanding its nutrition portfolio into the snacking category with the launch of Avvatar Popped Chips, extending its journey from dairy to nutrition and new-age food categories.
The launch is part of the company’s strategy to make protein more accessible across formats and consumption occasions. It builds on Avvatar’s existing portfolio of protein powders, ready-to-drink beverages and protein bars.
Protein moves into everyday snacking
Available in Magic Masala and Pudina variants, Avvatar Popped Chips are non-fried and contain 10 grams of protein per 30-gram pack. The products are priced at ₹60 and contain no added sugar, palm oil or preservatives.
The chips will be available through the Avvatar website, quick-commerce platforms, vending machines, general trade and modern trade outlets. The new format takes Avvatar’s protein proposition beyond traditional active-nutrition products.
Focus on new-age food categories
“With Avvatar, we are extending protein beyond traditional nutrition formats and into everyday consumption occasions, including snacking. Our ambition is to build a holistic protein ecosystem that brings together nutrition, convenience and accessibility across formats and lifestyles,” Parag Milk Foods Executive Director Akshali Shah said.
“Entering snacking is therefore not simply an extension of our portfolio; it is a strategic step towards creating a larger, more contemporary food and nutrition business with protein at its core,” she said.
Avvatar to drive new growth
The launch strengthens Parag Milk Foods’ New Age Business, with Avvatar playing a role in the company’s strategy to build new growth avenues across nutrition and adjacent food categories.
By leveraging its expertise in dairy and protein, the company is expanding into segments aligned with changing consumer preferences. The strategy is aimed at building a broader portfolio in which protein features across everyday food and consumption occasions.
